When did your pre-medical post-baccalaureate (PMPB) program start?
Our first class of PMPB Programs commenced in August 2015.

What are the benefits of applying to your program?
Our PMPB program is helpful in developing your academic background and provides invaluable interactions with CNU’s College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy faculty. Students have participated in research, professional development workshops, and attend many events typically reserved for our professional students such as guest lectures and community events.

Do I have to take the MCAT Intensive Review?
We recommend that students who plan to apply to medical school take the MCAT review in the summer prior to starting courses in the fall. However, students who have already taken the MCAT exam and recorded a competitive score, do not have to participate in the summer MCAT review. Note: Participating in our summer term allows you to work closely with CHS faculty and bond with your peers.

Can I apply if I am not pre-med?
Yes¸ our PMPB program is geared towards helping students interested in pursuing most professional health degrees. This includes, but is not limited to, medicine, osteopathy, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, physical therapy, etc.

Can I apply if I do not meet your minimum GPA requirement?
Our advice is no. The program is designed mostly to aid students who have a strong academic background because the GPA weighs heavily in professional health school admissions decisions.

I need to repeat just one or two lower division courses to improve my GPA. Which program do I apply to?
Please fill out the PMPB application form, but identify in your Statement of Purpose (part of the application form) which courses you’d like to repeat in our program.

How is a typical class day scheduled?
Typically, classes are held between 9 am and 4 pm.

Do you offer a part-time course of study?
No, the PMPB program is intensive and requires a full-time commitment.

Do you offer evening/weekend courses?
The PMPB program does not offer evening/weekend courses.

Do you accept international students?
Currently, the PMPB programs do not accept international students.
