Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences

California Northstate University College of Health Sciences (CNUCHS) offers a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.  Highly motivated students interested in further pursuing professional healthcare careers should apply to CNUCHS to earn their spot in the entering class.

Benefits of attending CNUCHS include:

  • Small class sizes and guaranteed course offerings
  • Individualized learning plans
  • Dedicated and award winning faculty advisors and mentors for each student
  • All students receive service learning and research experiences
  • Networking opportunities with professional health students and faculty

While earning the Bachelor of Science degree, students can customize their curriculum plan to satisfy the prerequisite course requirements for most professional health programs including medicine, pharmacy, clinical psychology, and dentistry. CHS faculty engage students in the classroom and are dedicated mentors to help students succeed with the rigors of pre-health professions education.

Students can choose to focus their studies in one of three concentrations:

  • Human Biology
  • Biopsychology
  • Health Science Administration

The Bachelor of Science degree at CHS is planned as a four year degree.  In order to graduate students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and complete all credits toward the degree with a “C” grade or better.  Students will earn a minimum of 120 total credit hours with a minimum of 39 credits in general education and 36 credits in upper division coursework.  The CHS curriculum is derived from sets of learning outcomes and mapped courses contain the necessary content and instruction to provide students the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of these learning outcomes.

The College of Health Sciences begins accepting applications on August 1st
