About
Originally from Houston, Texas, Teena received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Texas in 1986 and her master’s degree in 2006. My experience includes pediatrics, adult medicine, and community and public health. She has worked as a manager, hospital nurse educator, nursing instructor, director of a pre-licensure BSN program, and NCLEX success specialist. Teena received the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty in 2021. She has been teaching nursing for over 15 years, joining California Northstate University in April 2025. Teena is passionate about educating the next generation of nurses, and her greatest joy comes from witnessing their success as they grow and graduate.
