Bachelor of Science in Nursing - How to Apply

Step 1. Complete the NursingCAS application and the CNUCHS BSN Program Application

Step 2. Register for the TEAS entrance exam and start studying! You have the option to take the TEAS virtually or in person through a PSI testing center. Information about registration can be found here. You do not need to take the entrance exam prior to submitting your application, but you do need to take it prior to the final application deadline. Applications will not be considered complete for processing and review until your official TEAS scores are received by our Admissions Office from ATI Testing. The minimum required scores are listed above. You can take it up to 3 times per application cycle, but we suggest 30 days between each attempt.

Step 3. Request all official transcripts from colleges (all applicants who have college credit) attended through NursingCAS. If your institution does not provide electronic transcripts, please contact our Admissions Office (Admissions.CHS@cnsu.edu or 916-686-7813). Failure to disclose all previous college coursework may result in the delay of your application processing, rejection of the application, and, if accepted and a current CNUCHS student, subject to the CNUCHS Academic Integrity and Good Conduct Process.

Step 4. Send out two electronic recommendations through NursingCAS reference portal. Note: NursingCAS gives you the option of creating a deadline for your references--we recommend this deadline be 2 weeks prior to the application deadline.

Step 5. Submit your completed NursingCAS application. If our Admissions Committee require additional information about your application, our Admissions Office will promptly reach out to you through the email and phone number provided in your application.

For assistance and guidance, please reach out to our Admissions Office (Admissions.CHS@cnsu.edu or 916-686-7813).
