The College of Health Sciences (CHS) is proud to offer an undergraduate program leading to the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Sciences degree and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Below are some important items to keep in mind as you begin the BS Health Sciences Application:
Notice: California Northstate University does NOT accept or otherwise participate in any federal direct student loan program (Title IV) funding, any federal veterans’ benefits program (Title 38) funding, or any other government student loan program funding.
Items required for your application processing and decision:
- Complete the entire application in one sitting or come back to where you left off.
- $50 non-refundable application fee.
- Official high school transcript (must include 12th grade coursework; in progress coursework is acceptable) and/or college transcripts.
• Unofficial transcripts may be accepted and uploaded at the time of application.
• Official transcripts will be required one month prior to start of classes.
• Submit electronic official transcript to
Admissions.CHS@cnsu.edu.
• If the official electronic transcript submission is not available by your institution, please mail your official transcripts to:

• If you are applying as a transfer student (24 or more college credit hours after high school graduation), send us your official college transcript. We will not need your high school transcripts, ACT, or SAT scores.
- *Official ACT and/or SAT scores (if you are applying as a First-Time College Student or if you have earned less than 24 college credit hours after high school graduation).
- Unofficial test scores may be accepted and uploaded at the time of application.
- *Students are not required to take the SAT or ACT for admissions consideration. However, if SAT or ACT scores are available, they will be considered by the admissions committee. Have your official ACT (College Code: 7032) or SAT (College Code: 7669) sent as soon as possible.
Important Notes:
- The early action application deadline is November 15th, however applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until one month prior to the desired start term. We recommend submitting your application early to secure your spot.
- We review completed application files on a rolling basis beginning October 31st.
- Notifications of admissions decisions are delivered via email. Be sure to check your "Spam" folder in case your email server filters our emails to that location. Your email information will not be shared with third parties.
- We do not return any application materials so keep copies of all submitted materials.
- International applicants are encouraged to apply for admission early to allow for processing of government agency documents (at least four months in advance).
- CHS admits regular undergraduate students seeking a degree (including non-degree seeking students) to only persons who have a high school diploma or the recognized equivalent of a high school diploma.
- Applicants to CHS are expected to be at least 18 years old by the start of instruction of their preferred start term. In exceptional circumstances the University may waive this requirement for applicants who will be at least 17, but less than 18 years of age on admission, on an individual basis, provided that their parents or guardians have given their written agreement in advance to additional safeguards and requirements as specified. Please email Admissions.CHS@cnsu.edu for more information regarding this policy and procedure. Applicants younger than 17 by the start of the preferred start term are encouraged to apply next year.
