About

I possess 30 years of healthcare experience. Before deciding to become an RN, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Qualified Medical Assistant (QMA). I graduated at the top of my class with my BSN degree in the Midwest U.S. at one of the top nursing schools in the nation and obtained my MSN degree in 2022.

I am a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC) through the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC) and am listed in the national registry database. I also hold a certification as a Director of Staff Development (DSD), having trained healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of experience in the nursing sector for approximately seven years before transitioning into college academics.

My nursing experience spans numerous areas, including critical care across all specialty areas, with a particular passion for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU); advanced specialty cardiac outpatient care and nurse navigation; emergency care; postpartum care; post-anesthesia recovery; home health; hospice; acute care; subacute care; nursing administration, including house supervision; and nursing leadership roles such as manager, director, and educator.

I am a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Nurses Association.
