About

Dr. Wise has been in education her entire professional career. She has taught every grade from pre-school to graduate school, founded a K – 12 academy for online and homeschooled populations in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has served as principal, academic advisor, and student success mentor for private schools and nonprofits in the greater Sacramento area. Dr. Wise began her higher education career at Capella University teaching student assessment courses in the Graduate School of Education. She later joined University of Phoenix and served in a variety of roles to ensure student success though mentoring, teaching, academic advising, and online curriculum design and implementation for UOP’s Initial Course Sequence program to improve student success in adults reentering college in online and campus settings.

Dr. Wise joined CHS in March of 2017 teaching English, Student Success courses, and coaching students through the medical school admissions and interview process. As Director of Student Affairs and Faculty of Student Success, Dr. Wise continues to work with all students at CHS to achieve their goals in pursuing a career in the health professions. Dr. Wise is an active member of the Online Consortium and serves as faculty advisor for the American Medical Women's Association chapter at CHS.
