About

Originally from the Washington, DC area, Paul moved to Arizona in the late 1980s. He attended Arizona State University and received his degree. After graduation, he applied for and accepted a position at the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), as database administration and Geographic Information Systems (GIS Mapping), for the Office of Vital Records.

He worked for ADHS in various roles in the Bureau of Epidemiology and Disease Control Services and in the Bureau of Emergency Preparedness for over 21 years. He was instrumental in getting the statewide disease surveillance system Information Technology project approved and completed. Paul was the Logistic Section Chief for Arizona's Covid response. He retired from ADHS post pandemic.

He relocated to Washington State where he started a role as the nursing continuing education program manager, at Pacific Lutheran University, School of Nursing. He also worked for 2 years in admissions for the school of nursing for the BSN, ABSN, ELM and DNP programs.

He recently relocated to the Sacramento area in June of 2026.
