Graduation Requirements

BSN students must complete all requirements of the BSN curriculum plan, and meet all requirements indicated below to graduate:

  1. Must have completed a minimum of 127 credit hours with a grade of "C" or better.
  2. Must have completed all related natural science prerequisite coursework. Anatomy, physiology, and microbiology must be completed with a laboratory component
  3. Must have completed six (6) credit hours in communication skills and four (4) credit hours in service-learning coursewokr. Please not that all service learning, nursing-specific courses (coded NURS), and upper division BSN degree required courses must be completed at CNUCHS
  4. Must have an overall minimum cumlative GPA of 2.70 as calculated by the average of all course credit units and grade points for courses taken at CNUCHS.
  5. must have completed the required clinical hours, as defined by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), while at CNUCHS in the five following areas: geriatics, medical-surgery, mental health/psychiatric nursing, obstetrics, and pediatrics
  6. Must have taken at least one hours of implicit bias training, offered through CNUCHS
